Hello All,

Thank you all for your prayers and calls. They truly have been a blessing and appreciated. I just wanted to tell you all that I'm well and that God is good. You all know that I broke my right ankle in three places. I had surgery on 7/7 and they put 10 screws and a large plate in my ankle. I have two screws on one side and eight on the other to keep the plate in place. The surgery was only supposed to take 1.5 hours but it took about 4.5 because of the complexity of the break and my leg was swollen so much. I had to wait two weeks for the swelling to go down before I could get a cast put on. I went yesterday to finally get a cast put on. They took off the splint and took x-rays. The doctor came into the room and said what have you been doing? I said nothing really. He said the swelling in your leg has gone down so much and it's healing so well. I'm surprised. He said with the complexity or your break I was expecting your leg to be swollen a little more and for you to be in a cast for about 6 - 8 weeks. It looks like you'll only have to wear a cast for 4 weeks. I told the doctor that I was leaving to go on vacation in exactly 4 weeks. To make a long story short I only have to wear this cast for 3.5 weeks. I get the cast off on August 16th.

GOD.... is so good! I give all praises to him for what he has done. I could not believe what the doctor said. Despite what some people were saying… you’re going to be in a cast for at least 8 - 12 weeks, and this and that. My trust was in God and united with all the prayers that all of you sent up. I believed God! I believed that HE could do exceeding above all I could ever ask or think! And he did! I'm reminded of the healing of the paralytic. You know the story. Four men arrived on that day with the poor, pitiful burden of the paralytic when Christ was proclaiming to the Pharisees, the scribes, and the peasants the truths that seemed so new to them. The four men must have known that the power of the Lord was there to heal this paralytic because of what followed. They must have had faith and a determination of love and hope. They sized up the situation. They carried their burden upstairs to the roof and suddenly let down the bed before the Christ, challenging his attention and compassion. To make a long story short the four men, in my eyes, were determined to bring their helpless friend into the circle of healing. Look at the situation…..They couldn’t get to Jesus in an ordinary way because of the crowd. They had to get creative. Their determination to place him at the feet of Jesus was evidence of their faith that he would be healed. Here you have a helpless man who was in need of healing, yet inside was a Christ whom they couldn’t reach who was able to restore their friend to full health. Their faith laughed at the impossibilities, and so from an opening in the roof they let him down by ropes. See Faith was the condition for which He waited before He could do any mighty work. The faith was in the friends of the paralytic. It was their faith, rather than the paralytic, which Jesus honored. Christ was pleased with the inventiveness and perseverance of their faith, so in turn Christ responds to their desire.

When I was at my lowest, in the hospital not able to say a prayer because of the state I was in, you interceded on my behalf. You sent up prayers to God asking for a speedily recovery. Look only two weeks later the swelling in my leg has went down tremendously; I’m healing rapidly and only have to wear a cast for 3.5 weeks. Thank U Jesus! I'm so overwhelmed on what God has done. I must admit the last two weeks have been so hard on me and my family. You learn to appreciate the simple things in life. I can't do anything on my own right now. I can't begin to tell you what these last two weeks have been like. All I know is that God has change me from the inside out through this experience and through it all I'm grateful and thankful.

Luv u all,

Donna
